Can any one tell me, i have a gamecube that i bought here in Spain, and i buy games here.
I want to buy a game off play.com, and it says "will only work on UK gamecube". Does anyone know if this is true in my case? I dont have it chipped, i just want to know if i can order the game and itll work here on my machine....

thanks if anyone can help....

I think most of Europe uses PAL, if not all of Europe, and that's the only thing that matters, so it should work. Just check the games you have, if it says PAL somewhere on them, you should be able to run anything from the UK.

NTSC is North America and Japan. PAL is almost everywhere else.

If not you cna get a mod-chip. Over in the states a company makes something called the Action Replay Freeloader, it's a bootdisk that will allow you to play any game from any region.

'Cept France uses SECAM. I believe it's PAL-compatible.

AS for the "only for UK GCs" : I've seen a GC box (Spyhunter) that said "not for sale in the UK" - it was a regular PAL box

Must've been a marketing issue.
