The best for VCD's is apex you can get those at wal-mart for around $40.00...ne brand for DVD

:lol: get a cheap ass apex it won't last you but a year or so. They make great christmas gifts for thoose people you just hate but have to get something for.

I've got a Toshiba and a Sony.

I use an yamada 6100, it plays .avi's!! :)
