I have a bleeping noise coming from my computer which sounds like some alarm of some sort. :( It`s a global WIn alumium case with a temp read out on the front. The readout is saying its running at 34.0c is this to hot.It did this yesterday as well but when i rebooted to see if it got rid of the problem it did,but i`d like to know what it is for sure.Could it also be the back up battery getting low.I only built it less than eigthteen months ago so i don`t think the battery could be gone that quick.

Thanks in advance

P`s i think the temperature on the front of my case is only the case temperature. :D

Does this (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=112293&hl="award+bios+beep") help?

It`s not a high pitch bleep singaboiy fell justa constant ringing like der der der der der der(if you can imagine it lol).Ive just copied an audio cd and it seemed to use all my CPU up with nero when it was burning.I`ve also just installed motherboard monitor 5 and took a screen shot of the temerature what it is reading.

The cpu one looks a bit high so i`m gathering that was the alarm that was going off.I`ve rebooted and the noise has gone.Plus it`s been pretty warm here in the UK for the past few days so i`m hoping that that`s got something to do with it. :01:

What does the case's manual or GlobalWin's site say about alarms and beeps? Does it have a wake-up or countdown alarm?
Does your motherboard have a temperature alarm feature?

MBM 5 has an alarm that you can set to go off if your temps get to a set point. Thats what the noise is. ;)

Either do something fast about cooling your stuff down or turn the warning up even higher. Your cpu wont last very long at that temp.

My cpu is a AMD Athlon™ XP 2700+ i`m trying to find out what temperature it should be running at.??/I`ve pulled the computer out from where it`s stored and the temperatures gone down six degrees. :01:

I`ve got a fan blow onto the case now to see if it helps.

Do you have the side open? That helps too.

You usually want to run lower then 55C. I usually idle at around 50 with my 2200 @ 1.925

It`s down at 57 c and her is a screen shot of the motherboard moniter dashboard.

I guess it`s the hot weather and a shitty cooling fan.

Jeez Fugs, you are sounding uncharacteristically coherent today.

EFFiles...
You might also look in BIOS and see what your temp warning is set to.

The temperature was the same clocker in bios. Here`s a screen shot in speedfan so i can`t blame the other software. :D

It`s been the same for a while now.I also took my computer to work and blew all the fan`s out.Mines one of the cases with a side fan and one at the back. The fry temperture of the CPU say`s it`s 85 C which i hope it does`nt reach, but it`s also a scorcher of a day her as well.Lol iv`e got about 25 Gb of films i need to burn to CDr as well because i invested in ones of those super duper divx players. :01:

Back on topic does them temperature look OK for my CPU which a AMD Athlon™ XP 2700+.?????

I'm going to hazard a guess that Temp1 is your mobo temp and Temp is your cpu temp.

Temp3 is obviously non-existant, and I would guess that if Temp2 never changes then that is non-existant too. The quick way to check is to note those temps then reboot and look at what they are in the bios.

BTW, do you realise you can change which temps you can see (and their names) by pressing the Configure button? I think you can do something similar in MBM5.

Edit: if you don't configure out the non-existant readings you will get spurious warnings, maybe that's what was happening to you.

Temp 1 my case and temp 2 is my CPU.I`m asuming that just temp is my graphics card.??

Speedfan doesn't read graphics card temps, so it can't be that.

I've got a suggestion. Switch off for half an hour or so so that is can all cool down, then switch back on and launch Speedfan as soon as you can. If you still get that 63C reading (and I think you will) you can ignore it.

I would have temps of 123C and 124C on some of the non-existant sensors on my mobo but I've configured them out, and I'm pretty sure my last mobo had a spurious 63C too.

What about this:

The temperature was the same clocker in bios

I didn't want to know what the "temp" was...rather, what the temp "warning" is set to.
For instance, I have my warning (in BIOS) set at 50c...if the temp reaches that then I get a beeping similar to what you describe.

Sorry  Mines set at 75C.Which means it would have had to get pretty hot yesterday for it to go off. :(
