Using K-Lite 2.4.3 which runs just ok. DL's generally take a long time, and I have A LOT of "More Sources Needed". Thinking an upgrade might change things for the better. Question is, to what? Don't need a lot as I really only use AVI Preview, Sig2Dat, and Accelerator. Is Clean KMD 2.4.4 what I'm looking for?

k++ 2.4.5.3 from nsane but the site is down
it is an updated 2.4.3 with more tools and some new features but the same setup as 2.4.3

OK, I'm SURE it's the fact that I'm WAY too stupid to understand what's going on here :blink: , but what's the answer? Is it 2.6 or this k++ 2.4.5.3 from nsane? Thanks.

There are many "klites" since the original kazaa lite was shutdown

there is
kazaa lite resurrection
kazaa lite 2.4.4
klr 2.6 RC
klt++
k++ plus 1.4
and more

You only need to update your sig2dat (http://www.geocities.com/vlaibb/tools.html) and avi preview (http://www.avipreview.com/)
and klextensions to KL Extensions0 .57a

here is a website will some of these versions
http://xlsoftware.jouwpagina.nl/

Are you then saying I should KEEP 2.43 and update just those applications (sig, etc.)? If so, then I went to the page you linked but couldn't find anything that says KL Extensions0 .57a. Thanks.

robnyt,

My advice if you're use to using the original 243 then like me you will just want to move up to nsanes install of 2453 which is basically the same thing but with the main features updated to the latest version.

Now 2.6 is a bit different and based on the KMD install, and nsane also made a combined install for that too instead of the longer named official install of it - but for me personally both gave me little bug problems anyway on a few different computers - so I went back to what imho was closest to what I have always been used to the great original 243, which is updated now thanks to nsane to 2453...

One of nsanes links are down now but another is still good: (fix the dot)

http://nsane.gameglitch dot com
When you get there click the P2P Clients link in the top left corner, and click Kazaa Lite K++ to open the 2.4.5.3 page and download it there.

*one thing I can tell you robnyt is that in regards to your first posts quoted concerns above - is that basically, none, of any of these various versions are going to give you much relief from what you can do or are experiencing right now. Whats there in the Kazaa network is what's there.

..if that's what you want, then if you want to search for it till his site is back, the file name for nasanes install is: klite26rc22n.exe

Look in your kazaa Lite options, you would find the links, or search klite for the extensions to download, otherwise just get nsane's klite version or any other version.
