hi!
i appeal to your vast wisdom and experience here.

currently, notepad is used a bullentin board for me and other users of the same computer ( i placed notepad in startup of all users)

however, it would be nice if when everytime i type a new line in the note pad, there's a date stamp on that line.

i.e.

21/3/2003 done!
20/3/2003 feed dog

colours would be good too!

any body has any suggestions for a small/fast note pad replacement that fulfill my requirement ?

Here is a great free ware app. It has colors, and an' option to shear notes with 'all users'

Metapad is pretty good...
so is conTEXT, if you want to do some coding (html, javascript, perl etc etc)

both can be DL'd free from here (http://www.onlythebestfreeware.com/program.asp?program_id=29)

EditPlus (http://www.editplus.com) is good too, it does text plus you can do coding (html, .js, c and others) in it as well... It's not free though, but you can find a keygen from *cough* astalavista.box.sk (http://astalavista.box.sk) *cough* :)
