I want to mount a 120mm fan in the spot above the drive. Would it be effeciante to have it blowing out?

Does that area of the case feel warm while the PC is running?

Well then, why not temporarily mount the fan and see what happens?
Double sided tape would be a quick and dirty way of installing it.

How are your other fans mounted? try to get them all creating one path for the air to follow, intake on one side, exhaust out the other.

my other fans are mounted perfectly
this 120mm is just to get rid of the warm air up top, and to add a nice glow too.

My point is that the 120mm may disrupt your current airflow, so just beware of that is all I had to say.
Other then that, it should be nice :)
