Hi all first time poster just had a question or two

recently I noticed that my download speeds from others has gone from what was once at least 30.00 kb/s or more.. to a dismal 1.0 kb/s or less! This stinks.. is there any explination to this? Is there some sort of lag going around or what? Also are there any updaters I should be aware of for K lite 2.4.3? thanks

Kazaa is no good. Try a different network.

With "try a different network" he means switch to another p2p instead of kazaa ;)
You got lots of choices: emule
Overnet
Bittorent
Soulseek
Newsgroups
....

All information about these other apps can be found on this board.

Use whatever one suits you best. Depends on what you mainly download. If it's games and movies the best i would say is bittorrent.

Do either of those have a seperate program browser like Kazaa 2.4.3 has rather then using the website?

The bittorent site is in German?

emule has pretty much the same interface and use as kazaa.
For bittorent, look at the bittorent forum on this board and read the guide on how to use it.
I suggest dl'ing abc client for bittorent and then go to as ite like reactor.net]torrentreactor.net (http://www[torrent files are not allowed).
You'll find links there to movies,apps,music,software...click the link, and te dl starts ;)

Both emule and bittorent are easy to use, although it might look complicated at first.

Ok I tried emule and it was ok but.. I'm encountering the same problem

my download speed is 1 kb/s or less.. what could be hampering me so much? I have no problem downloading installers and such off the net

That's how emule works ;)
Your speed depends on how much and how fast you upload to other people.
It's a way to get rid of leechers.

If you want speeds ,get bittorent :)
