Is there a way to disable the bloody Windows messeger?Everytime i connect to the internet it connects automatically and hides itself

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Go to Start - Run - CTRL+V

I just renamed "Messenger" in Program Files to "MessengerDISABLED". Stops it loading.

If I need it back just rename it back again.

I think he is talking about "Windows Messenger (MSN) " not "Messenger" the service that "Transmits net send and Alerter service messages between clients and servers"
