Uninstall 3rd party theme programs from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Attempt to reinstall the service pack.

ok prob solved i combined.. i had to uninstall style XP

rename my ntoskrnl to ntoskrnl.exe and change the boot too

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect

in notepad.. so if anybody needs that maybe u could pin it lol
how does SP2 not allow filesharing?

something like it limits the amount of connections u can have at a time to the net...meaning u can't connect to many sources or something. :unsure:

but there is a patch for it, been mentioned millions of times on this forum...i ahven't needed it yet, but maybe i should install it just in case.
