Does a program exist which, when opened can open up a list of other programs (all at once) and when one of those programs in the list is shut down then all of the programs will close (at once).
This program must also be very small and low on RAM + run in the background.
This program would be useful so that when I open Firefox, Messenger wouldl open up immediately as well as other programs which I use when on the internet.
Messenger would then clos when Firefox closed.

Thanks…

(I know this seems far-fetched but it would be nice if I got lucky)

I'm not sure if this is what your looking for, but......

for win xp:
Alt-ctrl-del (task manager) and select the "processes" tab, find the .exe your wanting, right click and choose "set priorities"...... However, I used it once for an game I was playing online, and set the priority to high...didn't see much of a change.

Yeah I know but I don't know how to make a Batch file do this...

to make it open all the apps woudl be pretty simple, but closing...I don't know.
and to open them you'd just have to run the batch file, not like when you run one app all the others start.

this would seem like kind of a PITA though...
I mean, so if Firefox or whatever crashes, then your Messenger closes too?
no bueno.

I saw a batch file which did this before but can't remember how to get it to work...

Not lazy I just tire of having to do repetitive tasks.

Multi Program Launcher (http://www.voodoofiles.com/7569)

Up to 5 programs can be set in the main screen. Clicking the Change / Add button under a blank box will open a dialogue box to find the program you wish to launch. Once the programs have been set up in the boxes, checking the Launch On Execute check box will launch that program when the Execute is clicked. The Clear Button clears that box of any entries and clears the Launch On Execute check box too. The Save Settings button saves the settings to the registry so they are remembered each time you run the program and the Close On Execution check box causes Multi-Program-Launcher to close down after your selected program have been launched.
Won't close the programs though.
