that just means they will BEHAVE differently, not incompatible, cuz i have several of those progs, and yes, some options change, but the prog works just fine. If you have a wireless device installed, go look at your control panel, the options have changed, but everything works fine. outlook 2003 now blocks all jpeg, gif images from showing up in your email (firewall option) and you get a few new icons in your control panel, but thats about it. I havent had a single prog be uncompatible. (its not like we underwent a major OS change for fuck sake). chill, and relax B)

Few processors have DEP yet, so that is unlikely to be a problem for most of us.
Who uses Windows Firewall? Just turn the damn thing off.

That just leaves a few progs which behave slightly differently, and that's just a case of getting used to it.

Noticed NSW 2003 and Diskeeper 8, on the list. Wonder how those programs will react ?

Well MS won't be fixing them so its totally up the the program makers if they want to spent time and money re-coding there products so that they work as well on SP2 as they do on SP1.

They won't just stop working some may not do there job right some may pretend to be doing stuff but not really do it some programs may just not open, install SP2 with fear, its microsoft remember.

(This is the reason MS doesn't have a forum  )

That sentence didn't sound right, I don't know why. My concentration is nearly depleted.

What's the link to the forums?
