hey was just wondering how i find out my own serial number in Microsoft Word. anyone know how i can find it?

Yeah jus go in word HELP>ABOUT MS WERD and it will say who is liscenced to and the SN.

is that the product ID? i thought that was it, but mine simply contains numbers and i thought they usually contained digita aswell

You have no idea how much I've tried to think of this software since yesterday but I could'nt remember the name then just now for some reason it came back to me :D Try downloading the belarc advisor from here, I used it once to find out which hardware I had for an update it gives a detailed look at whats on your system including software and if I remember right it even tells you the serial numbers of any software installed. :unsure:

Belarc will give you the serial number, but this is usually different than the installation key you used...I'm assuming that's what you're trying to get.

yeah in looking for the installation key i used. anyone know how i can get it?

Download TweakXP 4, it can tell you your Office and Windows XP serial.

ah its for my friend actually whos installing it using my cd, but i havnt got the serial, only the programs installed
