about:blank (no page) :D
Why ? Well, sometimes i restart and load my browser before Windows XP had the chance to connect to the internet. That gives the annoying 'Page Cannot be Displayed' message (or something like that) and since in the browser i use most often (Opera 7) there's a built-in Google search bar, i rarely need to visit the site (only when doing an irregular search).

www.theregister.co.uk (http://www.theregister.co.uk), an IT news site that likes to take the piss out of things, and the home to BOFH, the funniest thing you'll ever read.
I think the idea of a local html page with links is a good idea, i'm just too lazy to make one :P

That's what I did, too. I made a simple page full of links with Netscape Communicator. Keeping it local makes Explorer open faster.

I originally used "about:blank", cause i never used the homepage anyway.
Then, I tried a localized homepage, with various links that i visit everyday... but then i realized, "Isnt this what my bookmarks are for?"
So, finally, i use http://news.google.com. It's great for news, because it gets the headlines from just about all the newssites out there!
