torrent img file

downloaded a torrent movie and it was a winrar file, once i extracted the file it gave me an image file called IMG, i was expecting a AVI file to work with but this is the first time i have come across this file and dvd shrink and mpeg encoder wont recognise it, can anyone tell me how i can get this IMG file encoded and authered for burning, thank you.

Try to burn it with nero as image file. Or you can open it with deamon tools.

img - i use DVD decrypter which burns them nicely, though there is also CloneDVD2

the only time ive seen them is for dvd-5 images ~4GB

You can normally change that extension to .ISO and burn it direct with Nero to DVDr.

no need to change the extension thats predestined to bring trouble

you can burn a img file just as good with nero
