The lay out!

I feel lost when i enter the site... why?
well gonna try explain.

normally when you enter a place you enter the Hall. wich in our case was " Everything related to this board"

But as this now is on the bottom end of the forum, you step right in the "living room" wich i believe is unpleassant. It doesn't give a right feeling.

Can't say it any better, just hope you guys can follow my reasoning and understand the feeling.

Forum lay out should be like

* Everything about the forum

then
* filesharing - with it's sub forums

then
* discussions - with it's sub forums

then other stuff......

I agree that it is a leeetle bit to easy to jump from spamming the lounge to posting in AboutZBoard -
although i think its mostly Loungees who write their opinion in AboutZBoard...so on the other hand it does make it easier.

But i agree Jetje - the Politically Correct Formal approach would be that its in the Hall (reception desk) + the front page is missing some kind of Strong Top Line heading typothing (aesthetically wise) like it used to be
although this is not a politically correct board now is it?

The lay out as supposed also indicates a bit more we're still afilesharing forum, by giving the filesharing progs a more prominent place :shifty:

oh and on a side note; with the google ads, there is no scam warning anymore as it was earlier on IPB :o Still think those scam sites should be fltered out, cause they don't belong in this place :dry:

when the poll was made you have the option of making a public poll.
In this case i did choose to make a public poll. I tought this was a good way to show the poll... :rolleyes:

I feel that the verfieds sections should stay as they are.
That is, as subforums of their parent categories.
And all forums should be placed in alphabetical order within their category.

Aside from that, I think the structure proposed by Entity101 is excellent.

we used to be allowed up to 100kb sig+avatar. That made sense, you can either have a big (in file size) avatar or a big sig.

I think the filesharing sections should be diveded up again. It makes the forum look a lot better and more organized IMO.

This IS a filesharingtalk forum, it should have diff sections so people know where to go for questions.
