Can you choose if you wanna follow these rules?

BawA
10-13-2004, 12:55 PM
nah, u should obey or ur fasting is wasted. also 5 times pray a day is also nessosery.

Good luck but you shouldn't be doing that at all (queue eggs being thrown at me  ).

You will probably still wank at night anyway.

I found Ramadan pretty easy.

Some tips...

Load up in the morning before dawn. Basically have an really early breakfast. The only meal you miss out on is lunch anyway.

Keep your head in the Qu'ran. If you haven't read the whole thing, what better time?

Load up at dinner time.

Take up weightlifting and some cardio. Because of your eating habits this is great. This exercise routine mostly will carry over year round.

Learn something new. Again what better time?

u dont want to follow u dont fast, its waste of enregy if u fast and still do the restrcted thing cuz they wont be counted.

that right and this is 1st ramadan am away from my birth place.. i have notting to do here so i guess reading holy book is the best thing and it helps u from doin whats restricted(like Mastrubate ). acctually masterbuting is resctricted in islam but in ramadan its even more. basicly ramadan is kinda practice from not doing propheted works.

I ve been in a few islamic countries during ramadan
It hilarious the mood swings that feel going on during the day from the people
the best part is just before 5pm - everybody is so stressed to get to their place where theyr going to eat. And when they do - Everything stops.
Those dinners are amazing.
As tourist you feel a little bit bad for eating etc when they cant

yeh its not allowded to eat in public during fasting, also small restarounds r not permited to open untill fasting is over.

One of my friends is yemani and will be fasting too, he used to find it easier before when he didnt work. He could sleep all day and wake an hour before he had to eat :)

I'm sure he was abusing the rules

This is definitely a religion for the more southerly areas.

When Ramadan falls in summer, those living in Scotland must have a really hard time. It doesn't get dark until about 11pm and sun up is about 3.30am. God only knows what Norwegian or Swedish Muslims do.

There should be a Mecca time - so they can eat when it is dark in Mecca. Or do they already do that?

Good luck Bawa

BawA
10-14-2004, 01:44 PM
Its not that it should be dark in mecca so they can eat, on 4th prayer(aprox 6pm) is time to eat. ;D

Of course there is. But certain followers prefer using local time. :)

maskawaih

Onanism might be nice for those who want to prevent prostrate cancer but totally use up your blood in making those tiny sperms.

Are the rules flexible? because some of my friends seen to adapt them for modern living, for example a couple of my girlfriends won't wear make-up during Ramadan, and others don't play on the internet.

We stayed at the Jumeira Beach Hotel (Dubai) as part of our honeymoon in 2003. It's the most amazing place!!

Walking round the old part of Dubai was spoilt for me though, by being persistently asked if I wanted to buy a new watch... :frusty:

I'd like to go back to Dubai, but not until it's finished...
