As WNE and TalkClub have been merged, its been sugested that we give the area a new name, to make it sound a little better...
Any serious suggestions, post them here, and we'll have a poll in a few days...

I kind of like the name MN pitched around the other day called the Drawing Room or Drawing board.

Keep it as Talk Club....
I always thought Talk Club was a shit name. The content is of course what matters though.

I also think MN's proposal of the Drawing Room is an appropriate choice.

I also like The Drawing Room. ;) In case anyone isn't exactly sure what a drawing room is, it's a formal room where guests might be entertained. A while ago, this would mean cigars, brandy, and politics.

I like the Drawing Room, too. :)
Edited because of a possibly misunderstanding of my sense of humor :D

Drawing Room.
Much more elegant than the elevator we started in.

Drawing Room sounds weird to me but again it's the content.
It sounds like a thread containing artwork for little kids. :P

I think Drawing Room is not the way to go..at all. We aren't a bunch of stodgy old men smoking cigars and drinking brandies, we aren't a bunch of frumpy women embroidering or playing the harpsicord.
We are discussing events that occur in our world. Some threads stay on an even keel, some get rough. The image I see in minds eye when I hear drawing room is not this.
Content is the most important thing, though, and I will merrily post away regardless of the name.

"Pish posh Ruthie, you little harlet and be off with you."
"Yes, Mr. Hobbes, Sir."
I like it because it is a bit "over-the-top" and is a sly way to poke a little fun at ourselves for playing the stodgy "know-it-all".

Ah, it would seem RGX has excellent taste. ;)
But if the mighty Rantbox doesn't appeal to the majority, then surely a humble Soapbox would suffice? :shifty:

Soapboxes are good enough for Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park... so why not FST?
