Most threads talk about browsers , I'm looking to change from Mozilla's e-mail client. I read a little about Thunderbird . Is that the same as Netscapes eudora client? I found some here, but never heard of them. Mabye Black box?

http://freemailguide.com/freewares/freeware_email_clients.html

I have a few problems with my mozilla email that a reinstall has not sesolved.

I believe Thunderbird is Firefox's email client.

I once had Eudora setup perfectly. Had lost that installation with a crash, hadn't been able to set it up properly since. Gave up on it as some component shows as a data miner.

Now I have Foxmail partially setup with YahooPops. But it is not configured correctly & I keep meaning to figure it out but I lose patience. But I like it so far.

But for day to day useage I use a mini email client ePrompter. Love it. So freakin easy. But it's not a full email client.

There thats what I do. GL.

It doesn't come with it. It's a serpate program, thunderbird. Both are by mozilla though and sorta go together. :)

I just reread my post. For those that I confused Thunderbird & Foxmail are 2 different programs. Thunderbird is from Mozilla.org & Foxmail is from China (over 3 million people use the Chinese version). Hope thats clear.

I use theBat!
It ain't free (unless, well, you know...) but it's the best I've come across. Certainly much better than OE, Outlook, Netscrape, Pegasus, or Eudora.

Well, thought I'd chime in and give props to Thunderbird.

In the past, I've tried using Outlook, Pegasus, Eudora, TheBat, Pimmy ... even that spawn of Satan's toejam known as Incredimail.

Each and every one of them gave me troubles of one sort or another.

Thunderbird, on the other hand, is the business. It's dead easy to set up, the spam filters are great, and the UI is so straightforward that even my g/f (who's a bit of a technophobe) has no trouble using it.

If you want to try T-bird for yourself, just hit the Thunderbird link in my sig. :D
