As you all know a PS2 is a video game system, and a DVD player. I was just wondering, what kinds of DVD's can it read? And will it read copied DVD movies?

Yes, I will read DVD -R copied movies for sure. I'm not sure about +R, RW, or RAM. I do know even the oldiest systems read -R and I use them all the time to play copied DVDs on my ps2. works great

How do you find if my burner is plus or minus?

How do you find if my burner is plus or minus?Either goto the manufacturers web site or use "nero info tool" to tell you what your drive supports http://www.nero.com/en/631940826989307.html

for the record, PS2s won't play all store bought/rental DVDs.

don't know why though.

I know they dont play +R's, at least not mine. All the help you need is probably at www.videohelp.com (http://www.videohelp.com/) but not sure if they tackle PS2's though. Let us know what you find out.
