Now that link's been removed by IKE.

A warning should always go first, no matter what.
Bujub is not a menace to the board but he is a little exciteable at times and perhaps doesn't think before he posts a stupid link.

If you had seen the website he linked to you should understand why I posted that.
The question you should ask yourself though is: Did he do it out of malice (to upset people) or was he just being dim and not thinking of the consequences?
A slap on the wrist and a temporary ban is fully acceptable imo. Anything more would be way too harsh for what amounts to a silly mistake. (And if anyone wants to draw compariosns to Rapfan then get lost, he was a nuisance to the board before his banning).
Did he warn what was waiting after clicky???
If so, i think a ban is an outrage.
If not, 2 months moderation or something.
Banning repeating offenders i can understand, but this...........
Banning is allways an offer of weakness.

I was just pointing out that what Rapfan did was the culmination of a campaign of being a complete twat on this board. Whereas Bujub is genreally a pretty cool guy on the forum with just the occasional bouts of craziness.
Just to reiterate (and because I like saying it): Rapfan was a twat.

This is ridiculous.
Bujub has a long and distinguished history of posting millions of pics, the one time he posts a link rather than a direct pic because it might upset some -- he DID post a disclaimer -- and he gets banned for what else was on the website.
If he wasn't trying to consider other's feelings when he posted the pic then no-one would have looked at the pic source and he wouldn't be banned.
Bujub got banned for considering other people's feelings by NOT hotlinking a pic.
Ridiculous.

About the ban instead of a moderation period:
We still don't know how the moderation stuff fully works on this board. We posted some ideas but we are still not informed by Rookie how we should do this. If I could put members on moderation yesterday I would have done that.

I also posted my action in the teamchat and I got replies that they agreed with my action.
So the team agree that Bujub should get banned for considering other member's feelings by NOT posting a hotlinked pic to a face mutilation pic, the link was in a pictures thread -- A pic which was a lot less harsh that a beheading vid, btw.
Or do they not know the whole story. I can enlighten them, if you wish. I was on the board at the time.

That certainly isn't necessary. A little suspension if you feel the need but don't go over the top.

If he did not see the other pictures on that website he linked 2, then there is something wrong with his eyes.

There are no changes from the previous rules...

@Dan - the normal rules have now joined the other 'unwriten' rules like calling soemone by there firs name will get you banned.
