Which Crisps will I like the best?

Arcadia made me fancy some crisps so I went to the shop and found some new flavours :01:

Back right are Golden Skins Loaded Cheese flavour - baked with the skins left on, sounds good.

Back left are Golden Skins Mexican Chilli and Cheese flavour - again with skins on.

In the front are McCoy's Honey Roasted Ham and Mustard flavour - apparently these are limited edition with real Colemans of Norwich Mustard.

Or will I prefer the New Cadbury's Double Decker with Nuts? Highly unlikely, btw.

Hints -- Wrt real food Cheese rawks but I don't like Mustard or Chilli - yet as I posted before Walkers Sweet Chilli crisps are my favourites

Also I eat the skin when I eat a Jacket spud.

These hints may mean nothing because, as everyone knows, crisps are a law unto themselves :01:

I'm going to eat them all within an hour or two, probably. A Poll would be nice if a mod sees this but place your bets now!!!!1111

Slow? Really, I hadn't noticed

Not being a fan of cheese crisps (other than wotsits and snaps) I'd say go for the McCoy's - the name alone ensures quality ;)

Gripper, I'm eating a packet of the skinned ones now; nice texture, really tasty - thick cut too :01:

It’s a little upsetting to see no Doritos thrown in there, manker, especially with all the new flavours that came out recently

See, I don't like spicy stuff. So the new Dorito flavours scared me a little

Cheese 3D doritos are gorgeous, tho'

You'd better get that Cadbury's Double Decker with Nuts eaten before {I}{K}{E} sees it.

Mr. Mulder
10-17-2004, 05:55 PM
The Tandoori ones (the bestest ones) aren’t spicy at all tbh, if you’ll cast your mind back to the BBQ ones that were mysteriously taken from us many years ago, they do seem rather similar to those

DanB

on a side note I hate my pc but Wheat Chrunchies bacon flavour are also a close contender for number 1

I can hear scratching at my locked front door, do you think {I}{K}{E}'s onto me

Dan, I was trying to be adventurous cos I liked the Walkers version. It may yet backfire. The Dorito new flavours all had weird names I couldn't pronounce. They have no place in my Corner Shop :01:

Indeed :01: they certainly seem to be the closed thing to bacon in the way of crisps :01:

Arcadia you know that :01:

Yep thats a good rule Manker, never eat anything you can't pronounce :01:

manker

If you bite a little hole out of the side of a Bacon Wheat Crunchie and put your finger to cover the hole at the bottom, then when you blow into the top it makes a whistle noise.

Biting the hole is tricky, you need to do it gently so that the whole crisp doesn't crumble to bits. A design flaw, me thinks

DanB
10-17-2004, 06:05 PM
 I have never tried that

DanB

MonsterMunch flaming hot :01:

The pickled onions ones have scarred me for life via indigestion

manker
10-17-2004, 06:07 PM
Flaming hawt are teh nuts :01:

I also think Walkers would have sold more if they'd spelled hawt thusly

Update:

I've eaten two of the packets now, one was rank the other was ok but bland and I had to eat the chocolate to take the taste away of the rank pack.

Im also feeling a bit sick as I'd not long eaten a full Sunday Dinner at the missus' Mam's.

I will soldier on tho' :01:

DanB

Which was the mank one?
Me

I'm not saying incase we have some late voters :shifty:

DanB
10-17-2004, 06:36 PM
I reckon it was the cheese ones, not the mexican chilli & cheese but the plain cheese.

Ham & mustard will be hands down winners.

oooh, I just remembered about how good teh Brannigans were :01:

manker
10-17-2004, 06:52 PM
I've finished all three bags and the Double Decker :01:

I did have to leave some of the rank bag because they were just piss poor. Sorry.

If anyone would like to cast a vote as to which they think would have been my favourites then do so in the next 30 minutes because that's when I shall be revealling all (oo-er)

The choices are:

Golden Skins Loaded Cheese flavour - baked with the skins left on

Golden Skins Mexican Chilli and Cheese flavour - again with skins on.

McCoy's Honey Roasted Ham and Mustard flavour - apparently these are limited edition with real Colemans of Norwich Mustard.

I'm feeling a bit lightheaded as well :(

You could cut the tension with a knife :o

If the McCoy’s are skanky then it’s gonna be a huge upset  The Cheese ones sound like most cheesy crisps, and as manker’s said, cheese crisps pwn and he doesn’t like spicy ones, so I’d go with the Mexican ones being bad and the McCoys for tops :01:

DanB
10-17-2004, 06:57 PM
I would have said the plain cheese ones where the skanky ones

manker
10-17-2004, 07:11 PM
Here is another hint:

At least one of the four official voters are correct :o

DanB

Drum roll.

Someone with a Ouija board please inform Roy Castle that the record for the most voters in a crisp related FST voting thread has been broken by the almost unbelievable number of four

The winners were The Loaded Cheese Skins.

They were bland but the other two were horrible! The Mexican Chilli tasted like sick and the McCoys were really burny. I don't think I've ever tasted Mustard before but I bet I wouldn't like it

Your next priority, Loobi, is to win a competition for the Mars Explorer to collect this prize. Hopefully DanB will assist with this.

Edit: Golden Wonder suck monkey bawls :P

LoobiLou

You're forgiven :) ...ok, how do i go about getting this Mars Explorer? DanB, suggestions?

manker
10-17-2004, 07:43 PM
I'm not sure how he will aquire the Mars Explorer but once he does I'll bet he'll give it away in a good hearted competition gesture, he is that kid of chap :D

Here is the carnage, as you can see the Mexicans are left half eaten:

manker

Bah! Crisps for wimin. The missus likes them too.

I'm going to stick to Walkers in the future, definitely :01:

I think you'd better do the next Crisp Challenge. You're a lot more qualified than me. I still can't fathom why I bought 2 packs of Golden Wonder

You could eat, like, 10 different bags :01:

My pc is a cunt, I missed the revelaing of the winner and everything.

I have spent the last hour or so dodging bsod's and explorer crashes while trying to move files from E: to C: in preparation for a reformat and fresh installw hen Cheese's mobo gets here to see if it fixes me.

Grrr if I had hair I'd have pulled it all out
