i've told you before. :frusty:

if you format your drive the other partition stays. good for backing up stuff or just keep your downloads there like i do. If your widnows for some reason stops starting up and you neeed to format all of your file still still be safe.

to do it downlaod and isntall partition magic 8 and use that, or the harder way is to use fdisk or the windows setup partition manager but they both require you to delete your current partition so you lose all your data.

Partitioning your hard drive pretty much devides it up into a number of smaller drives.
Simple concept really.

Life saver.

I would have lost 120gb of data a few weeks back if I didn't use a partition. One Tv series (which ran for 10 series) I've been downloading 700meg episodes of for over a year. I would have cried like a girl if I'd lost them. (All backed up to DVD now though, better safe than sorry...)

Ya im gonna have to consider doing that sometime becuase i downloaded Far cry and its almost 4 gigs (DVD) and i cant burn it, it was hard enough to get and would be a shame to lose it. and all my tunes and stuff would be a pain in the ass to re download.
