I have no doubt that ACDsee is the best in it's kind, but for the few times I actually need it it's far too expensive.
And so far I didn't have any luck in finding a free version of it.

So what I'm looking for is a freeware tool that can do almost the same or resembles ACDsee.
Actually, just something that can create contactsheets for me.

Anyone that knows of such a freeware tool?

Thanks.

Does anybody by any chance know if Irfanview can create contact sheets?

I wanted to look it up on their homepage, but it seems that they forgot to pay their bills to the host

Irfanview @ tucows (http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html).

Irfanview @ tucows (http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html).

I know that.
But they don't list all the features.
And that's what I need.

I've got a .rar of a cracked ACDsee v6.0.0.0064 including powerpack, photocanvas and plugins. It is a great program.

I don't mind mailing it to you in bits if you have a Gmail account or I can upload it to usendit.com - up to you. However, It's 35 meg and I seem to remember you're on Dial up :(

:o I'm not on dial-up :01: (3.3Mbps dsl) :01:

But I would appreciate it a lot if you would be willing to go through that trouble for me.

I have a Gmail account but i lost my password*(again [2nd account already] )
So that won't work.

Yousendit is an option, but remember that uploading things like that to them is against their TOS.

Anyway, before I put you through all that trouble,I'm just going to look a little bit harder for a patch or crack.
There are lots of serials to be found, but i don't see how they are of any use since you have to purchase the thing online
And it would be foolish to use a found serial on an online registration,me thinks.

If I still can't find it,and the offer still stands,I'll let you know. :)

Thanks
:01:

*Don't ask about 'security question' or 'retrieve password'.
I forgot the security question too and hotmail never seems to accept the retreived password mail from Gmail.

 Just PM me if you need it. It's on a backup disk so it isn't going anywhere.

I must have been confused with the dial up thing ...

If it can't make contact sheets it's useless to me. ;)

Are you your country's entrant for the Dickwad Olympics?
That's a fucking stupid statement.

One assumes you are registering your disagreement.
Aye.

Do you intend elaborating, or just leaving it at the simple insult.
Heh. Why elaborate? You're not interested, just as the rest of us are not interested why Irfanview may be better "hands down" than ACDSee. Which it ain't, in any area other than startup speed.
Ayethankyou.

in irfanview:
File -> Thumbnail, or simply press T - the keyboard shortcut
then select "File -> Create contact sheet from selected thumbnails"
