OK, as you can see from a different thread of mine i have quite a lot of ebooks, I was just wondering which ebook reader everyone uses for the differnet formats.

.PDF: adobe acrobat or the adobe accrobat ebook reader
.LIT: Microsoft Reader
.TXT: YPager
.PNG: Havnt found one yet.

Cant remember any other formats, if you think of any or have any better programs free or otherwise please list them, as im always on the lookout for programs to make it easier to read books of the pc.

.PDF - Adobe Acrobat
.RTF - Wordpad
.PNG - If you have Microsoft Office 97 or later, Powerpoint, Excel, Word and OfficeArt all support .png files.

http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/pngapps.html is a website that deals with viewing .PNG files. It'd probably be a lot easier to go through and find what you have. :)

Ok looked through that list and all i have that i can see is Internet Explorer, and i dont fancy reading a book in .png in IE. so if anyone has any ideas of a good .png viewer and any other type of specialist ebook reader i would like to know your oppinions.

thanx

ok i know there are other ppl on this forum besides me and MagicNakor who read newbooks, i would just like to hear ppls oppinions of the best readers that you can get, the more expensive the better, as long as i can download it for free :P .

and expecially for .png files, i need an app that will let me read the book like a proper book like ypager for text but something for .png.

thanx stoi.

Yes. I'm beating a dead horse. ;)

zapjb sent me this link for reading e-books, and I just got access to that email account tonight. So, here it is:

Book Reader (http://www.rudenko.com/downloads.html)

I haven't used it yet, but from what it says, it looks decent. Freeware.

MagicNakor, glad you got it. I like BR4. It handles some of the extensions but not all. It makes the print huge & has an auto-scoller. Great for me. Although I haven't tried others except adobe acrobat which I despise. :)

nope got windows 2000, but why do i need office software, i very rarely used it when i had it and i would rather have a few small proggys that do the same job as a huge office software suite. if i get office then thats something over a gig taken up on my 12gig hdd as i have to store the cdimage on there as well as the installed programs as i have a laptop and i refuse to pay £100+ for an external cdrw.

Maybe you would like to try the flipbook by efunds. It is great for pictures and they have software for books, if I can remember correctly. Flipbook is cool, the pages flip like a digital page.

I've just downloaded "book reader", it's got an option to download a programme to read the books for you!!
i tried it and it sounds like Steven Hawkins :D :D :D .

But seriously the actual programme (book reader) looks quite good.
