Is that possible? I have a set of Creative Labs 4.1 surround sound speakers that I bought for a low cost 4.1 sound card I had lying around. Needless to say after about a year, the card has died. No biggie really.
If I get this card (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=29-102-165&DEPA=0), will it work with my speakers?
I haven't really been able to find a good 4.1 surround sound card, and really I don't want another. Someday I will upgrade these speakers to the 5.1 or bigger.

Yes it will work. You could then plug headphones into the last 2 channels if you want, or some older speakers or something.

That's just one mono channel - centre output.

You could get that one that was specially adapted for Mr Spock,

You know, the one for the final front ear.

Anyone seen my coat?

It's behind you on the back of your chair.
