Just wondering if there are more programs that play .mov files or quicktime movie files. I've tried quicktime alternative, but the media player classic that uses it crashes everytime. I even used win media 9 and it freezes/crashes too. But firstly, quicktime itself freezes when I play mov files.

Any other alternative?

You can choose between Quicktime and Quicktime Alternative.

That they both crashes is a problem with your PC and have nothing todo with both players.

also: only MPC can be used as an alternative 2 play quicktime files. no other player supports quicktime playback.

You could try converting the .mov file to .avi using Rad Video tools,

Then just play them in WMP or whatever.

Hope that helps.

Did you try reinstalling it?

does it always crash with the same file? or are you trying to play different .mov files?

Why is that a weird setup?

Try just uninstalling all quicktime\quicktime alternative stuff then.

Download the latest version of Quicktime Alternative and install it.

See if it then works by playing the .mov file in Media Player Classic (MPC) or whatever ids your favorite player.

If all else fails you can just play them in VideoLAN which im sure isn't going to freeze (it uses it's own set of codecs).
