hi, is there a way i can find out what files and folders were accessed on my pc by the person before me.

I think if you are using XP it automatically updates the "timestamps" (or something similar) when folders/files were last accessed. You'd probaly have to manually check files/folders you suspect were used by the previous user

A keylogger would do it. Probably better to password protect your desktop,or encrypt the folders in question. Let me guess sharing a computer eh? :)

As P.Moss said - get a keylogger theres tons out there
they will trace anything
mouse movements


Mask have you simply looked at "Date Modified"?

In explorer (or folders)
make sure the view is "Details"
Right clik on the bar above where the folder etc are
clik "more" (at bottom) and youll find tons more options

there is a history button just above the address bar it looks like a clock that will show some of the things that have been viewed in the recent past.

that only shows the last websites visited, not the last folders accessed

Not not in Internet Explorer silly, go to a directory on your computer, and then go to history.

In Xp one might want to check up Events also,
Admin tools...

Gives out little info but its something.

how do i go to the directory?
