Im a bit of a newb to complicated tasks with games but I have downloaded a file called ' doom 3 iso full game (id software).iso.exe'.

The thing is im not sure what to do with it as I cannot find the place to take the .exe part out.

Can anybody help me? :D

how big is it?

try renaming is 2: .iso

its around 700 mb so im not sure its the right file, but loadsa users have it on ares.

I cant find the place to rename it to iso so im stuck :dry:

You can rightclick on the file and choose rename, or just click once on it to go into name edit mode.

At 700mb, I would think it's a porn movie. Lots of people rename porn movies to game ISO names for some reason. If you care, you can just rename the file to doom3.avi and run it.

I haven't really seen any legitimate doom3 iso's around.

Real Doom 3 is three different ISO's in total about 1.7gb. Stop using shit like Area's and get Bittorent for real downloads. That file you have there is a FAKE!

It is also released as an DVD, I downed that one long ago.
At least, dont DL the 700MB version, it is most likely a fake
or ripped too much to be any good.

Cheers for the help guys. Im gonna delete that porn movie right away (wink wink) :shifty: I thought it might have been a bit small.

Bit torrent is gud but a bit innefficient for me as i cant keep my computer running 24/7.

That's not a problem, you can just pause your download and go back to it later.

The file will automatically be shared as you're downloading it.

I downloaded doom3 for PC last week it was like 350MB abouts, it was .exe and didn't work so I deleted it. What do you suppose it was?
