Is this what you're looking for? (http://tinyurl.com/5n644)

Edit: Since when does shutting your browser down knock you offline?
Edit2: Oh yeah .. pwned by AOL ...

 AOL is my browser, I don't get knocked offline, but without a browser you can't view websites can you  Therefore to anyone else, you are then offline :P
Unless using 3rd party software to comunicate :)

Oh and that trick link does'nt work anymore since I get an error when logging out and have to click a 2nd link to actually log out :P
Have ya pwn back my good man :01:

I pwned myself - not you.

Usually with AOL, although there are ways around it, if you close their browser it also takes you offline. That's what I was referring to.

I know you pwned yourself, you been doing that a lot lately and I'm a bit concerned about it

And what thing about aol were you refering to?

I'm not bothered about pwning myself, if I was I'd go on three page rants trying to squirm out of it.

The AOL thing I'm on about is how I pwned myself - normally if you close their browser it also takes you offline, this contradicts when I said; 'since when has closing a browser taken you offline.'

Jon L. Obscene

Ah I see, well actually that's true if you on dialup, but then you have to sign on with any software :)
So in a way you did'nt pwn yourself :01:

You'd best make a start on the first instance, then :D

I'm in a better mood anyway. Tea+Ziggy cured me ... that and a random thought about naked female mods, I suppose.

Not necessarily mods of this board, mind. Just a naked female figure of authority

I use the same 1 meg AOL connection for 2 of the computers in work. There hasn't been any downtime in over 2 years and the speed is always top notch. I don't use it at home tho'

The only AOLewsers are the people who connect and browse with their software :P

Jon L. Obscene
10-29-2004, 11:37 AM
erm, there's nothing wrong with the software, I got a 1meg conection and everything works fine

The trouble is with ALL of you lot who diis it, is you used it when it was shite, I had an argument with a member here about it, the last one they tried was aol 4 or something, it's changed a little, aol 8 is pretty much flawless :)
This is someone been using it for 2 years :)

Well, that isn't true in my case. I've tried the AOL browsers up to AOL9 and I can say with complete confidence that the AOL browser is completely pwned in every respect by not only Firefox but also the inferior IE.

I've used AOL since I started with the interweb in some capacity. Through experience and trying new things I now connect through modem software rather than their connection wizard and have absolutely no AOL software on my PCs whatsoever because it fecks up the registry.

Jon L. Obscene

Fair enough :) Your experience, mine tells me there's nothing wrong with it and I prefer it above others :)
Having said that I wont be using aol 9, 8 is gr8 :01:
