There is a sticky topic about anti-virus programs. Do not use this pc-cillin crap, and get another, recommended one.

norton doesn't suck. I've been using norton internet security 2005 for a few days now and they've made a few nice improvements. I've used other antivirus software in the past and I always come back to norton.

I think you'll find that most Norton-bashers, wherever they inhabt the Internet, are people that haven't actually used it - and if they have, they've usually not experienced it for a long time.

Use any other antivirus program for a long time, then within a few minutes you'll realize norton is shit. :P

I haven't tried the newest version yet. What is the best one to try? (i don't want the firewall and all that crap just AV)

actually, I've used Norton for years (2002, 2003, 2004). And, when I switched from Norton to NOD32 I haven't looked back. Good riddance!

If you want a good free AV use AVG...AV (http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php)
I like it... :)

KAV was always my personal favourite, but it couldn't handle the viruses in emails because I use theBat!, so I changed to Norton/Symantec products and had absolutely no issues. It now seems KAV v5 works fine with theBat! and I've been checking it out for about a month now.
BTW, I havent found a virus or trojan on my system for about 7 years now. :)
