Well... I recently downloaded Norton Anti-Virus 2005. And its the external test version. And it doesn't scan files for viruses. It just freezes. And if I un-install it a lot of my programs like Windows Media Player wouldn't work. Said I was missing a "Common File" which has something to do with Symnatec products. I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of NaV 2005 without having this problem.

Nahh... That sounds too complicated and long. I'll just in-stall NaV 2004.

if you dont want to do what peat moss suggested and dont want your appz to run all funky... you can always do a system restore. I know lots of people that will say not to do this... but as for me.... I have done this many times... and havent had a problem yet, and actually, it fixed the problem I had before I did it.

Most problems can be fixed without the sys restore, so thats a final option for me.

Good luck.
