Can you re-encode divx again with a different codec because i`ve just got the directers cut of donnie darko and it`s been encoded with the qpel codec which my stand alone divx player does`nt like for some reason. :(

As there are no firmware updates for the medion player yet the only thing i can do is try to re-encode it so i can play it on my player. And also what is the most common codec that most divx`s are encoded with. :helpsmili

Thanks in advance.

simply use virtual dub
load the movie
under video choose full processing then clik compression
and choose whatever codek you want
then save as

If you have DrDivX then that will be an easy way to go, just select Video File, choose size or quality and options and encode...

Does dr divx come bundled with its own codecs because i don`t want to encode it again with same qpel codec.
