Lately I've just been depressed. Good ol' bud seems to not help anymore neither...

How does one 17 year old pc gaming nerd get happy?

Hobby.

Get a real hobby, I mean more physical than computers.

Try talking to all the silly people in the lounge...they might bite, but they can't really hurt you....

You could do what all (or most?) men have done soner or later before you... drag out those instincts and get out there and meet women.

This will also concur with what guitar slinger posted ;)

EDIT:

Hey man, another idea is to watch a really great movie like Amelie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0211915/) for instance :D

Well I do exercise daily(little stuff like stretches, push ups sit ups etc) to keep my metabolism at a good level. I am a skinny cumshot so maybe I should coincider dusting off my dads bench press..?

it's a good idea to figure out what's making you sad and tackling it head-on, you can't ignore it forever - but don't think you need to change your lifestyle completely to be happy, making big changes can just make it worse
