Ive been using the new version(j2SE5.0) with no problems. Its perfect if your only using it for Azureus..I noticed less memory and CPU being used when I installed this

Why the size difference

J2SE 5.0 = 43.9M

Damn, I wish someone made the Java runtime installer without the
crap. I mean, it adds some stuff on the startup and the WebStart shortcut on the
desktop.

I just need the runtime libraries to run some java apps (like azureus),
nothing more, nothing less.

They are usually packed IKE. Even 15MB easily gets to be about 40MB after the setup has unpacked it.

Just like Adobe Reader, it aint easy to find a usefull version, DL, install, cleanup the mess, so its ready to use.

J2SE v5.0

It is what I am currently using to run my java enabled applications. No problem I have ever noticed.
