Ok, here goes...

I've been kinda with a bloke for a long, long time.
When we started seeing each other, we both had partners.
He told me if I dumped my b/f of the time, he would give up everything
for me.
I was told he loved me, and he wanted to look after me forever.
Well, I have been single now for over 5 months, and he has made
no effort to leave his g/f, although he has lied to me a few times and said he did.
To add insult, he is constantly offering me money, which I refuse to accept.

Last week, I said I wasn't gonna be screwed around anymore,
he burst into tears saying he was sorry he was hurting me, and all that crap.
The thing is, when he is upset he call's on me, but if I need him, he is always unreachable.
Nothing has changed, except Im older and a lil wiser.

He used to write me poetry, and leave little presents on my pillow.
Now, he just comes round to...ahem... :w00t:
And thats only once a week, at the most.

I know I'm just being strung along and used, but can someone confirm it for me?
That way, I won't feel so bad if I manage to pull tomorrow night.
It's all got to the point, where I am thinking of moving away from everyone I love,
to get my head straight.

What do I doooo? :crying:

Sorry to say so, but you're being used.

He still with his gf, hasn't kept his word and keeps coming back for s*x?

Tell him to go f*ck himself.

And the money? That's just insulting.

:( Poor lilmiss.

I hate answering stuff like this but you asked for honesty, if this is the same guy you told me about ages ago then it has been a while, but from reading the above I can't see much thinking on his part above his waisteline :(
You's a great girl and can do better than someone who uses you as a shoulder but can't return the favour.
Ultimately it's your choice, no one can make it for you, no one can assure you the grass is greener on the other side, I guess a life changing descision comes to us all at some point, it's a fork in the road, you have to flip a coin and pick a route.
Following your heart is the only way, it may lead to others being hurt, it may lead to you being hurt, but if you don't you will always wonder "What if" , sit down alone for a while, no friends, no internet, no tv or music, just quiet and think about what YOU really want.
You know's us lot will always be here to help :)

Follow your heart, not your head :)

Thanks guys.
I have no idea where I stand, but as far as I can tell, Im single.

Thing is, I have told him to piss off so many times, and he just keeps coming back and hurting me.

I know I have to get away.
Too many bad memories here.
Apart form that, Im fed up of getting no respect.

Yeah, Gurahl.
That's what I said.
He offered me £500.

Don't be too hard on yourself lilmiss, Most of us have been in similar situations. I'm not about to call you any names, and you shouldn't call yourself any either. I have to agree with Yogi, walk away and find yourself a real man ;)

I don't want to add what has been put so succinctly by Gurahl but I definitely agree.

You're a lot better than that, I don't think he deserves as much consideration as you're giving him either.

I can't even begin to say how strongly I feel about this situation.

You are so much better than this guy...get rid...maintain your self respect...

He doesn't deserve to walk in your shadow..and...if he has messed his g/f around, then he will mess you around.

I figured this.
He says if I was his, he wouldn't mess me about.
But he has had so many opportunities to be with me.
Just can't take anymore of his lies.

It's a shame, I really connect with him.
He knows how fragile I can be, and still mis-uses my attention.

 Better fuckin' not

Having read on and thought about it, this guy is obviously either thick as shit or a complete wanker, anyone who says they wanna be with someone then has sex and offers money! and fobs you off all the time and wont even take time to be with you is clearly someone who needs to sort their own head out before he fucks your head right up, find the strength to tell him to leave you alone (I love the way we all say this like it's easy) if he comes back tell him you'll take it further if he wont leave.

And while you're at it have him slapped for treating you like shit

This is easy....

First, go out with other guys. Don't hold out for this guy at all.

Second, use the current guy for what he gives you. Take the money if he wants you to have it. Enjoy his company while he's with you but....detach yourself from anything further. Look at him as a fuck and money (crass I know). :whistling

Third, don't ask him for anything; not money, not sex, not anything. If asks you for something only do it if it is convenient for you. Don't push anything aside for him. If you have a date kindly tell him, "No, I can't do that tonight." :01:

Either he will come begging you or not, in which in either case, you could give a shit.

Meanwhile you can benefit. You are not being an ass for being this way. If you meet a nice guy then treat him nice, otherwise what the fuck are you supposed to do.....wallow and sulk like a typical I'm so hurt woman. :crying:

Get lilmiss up and do for lilmiss. ;)

I don't.
The only thing I have ever asked for was his company.
He was really off with me last week, cause I just wanted a hug, and he wanted more. Told me he would be back to see me the next day, and guess what? Im still waiting. I already know what he will use as an excuse; "I thought you were in a mood with me, so I left you alone for a while."

His g/f knows what he is upto, and apparently he has called her by my name a few times. But she screams and hits him, I refuse to show him how much he riles me up, so maybe thats where Im going wrong.

I know Im being a silly arse, but sometimes you just need people to remind you. :crying:

The gullibility of women never fail to amaze me. I know from experience that a lot of girls want to believe in something that isnt there. I've had friends who would tell girls they wanted relationships with them but i knew all along that wasnt their true intention.

I'm no saint but even i wouldnt stoop as low as to keep a girl stringing on like this (but a few of my friends are http://chitchatforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smackbottom.gif).

What people say is often what they either think people want them to say or what they think they should say in a given situation.

However, what people actually do is a closer indication of what they really want.

People may be trapped by circumstances but, by and large, it is usually due to an unwillingness on their own part to change things - no matter how they might moan.

You made a choice and as it was really what you wanted, you took the necessary steps. He has not! You made an honest and honourable decision but for your own dignity it is time to think about what you want next.

If you continue in this relationship it will be because, despite the pain, it is still what you want. Only you can decide if the cost to your heart is greater than the love given to you. If the cost is greater then, for your own sake, you must be brave once again and move on - for, sadly, it is unlikely on what you say, he will.

Lilmiss
11-05-2004, 12:03 AM
Yes, I do know what to do.
It's just so hard, especially when he never takes me seriously when I tell him he is hurting me.
I must have sent him packing at least 4 times now, and he keeps returning, an beaking my heart.
I am supposed to be seeing him tomorrow night, providing he turns up. So I shall tell him again, but I dont know if I shall have the determination to cut him out of my life.

When he is with me, he is so caring and gentle, and is a fantastic lover. But none of it means jack, when he returns home to her. He tells me they sleep in different beds and don't have sex anymore, but I can't believe that. Especially when he is babysitting her child, and comes round covered in bruises from the beating she gives him. In fact, he turned up on my doorstep about 1am, not long ago, as she had kicked him out for coming home covered in long hairs.

The sad thing is I am so willing to give him everything, and I know I'm being played. I really piss myself off, sometimes. I can't believe a word that exits his mouth, and I know that is not a decent start for a relationship in the first place, but I cant control how i feel.

Thanks Jpol and Biggles.
Always, the voice of knowledge, delivered with such understanding and care.
