I'm on BYBB too, if you use up a lot of bandwith in one day, i.e. downloading tonnes, the connection goes dead after a while, I don't know why, but it does.

Maybe something your running automaticaly shuts your connection down.
ie a completed download or something. Not sure how much data your downloading
but I heard stories also about eating all the bandwidth on blueyonder and getting
kicked off.
I presume this only happened after your installed a harddrive and xp re-installed.
Which to me seems like Setting within windows or software needs changing.

The best way to sort that out is monitor it for a few days
Leave the pc on all night with an intenet connection but close everything
else ? No downloads lol.If its still connected you are narrowing down the
problem ?

im on BYBB too, dont have any probs, leave my comp on all nite, wake up in morning,
ahh finished. B)
maybe to do with the power settings?
or try device manger and tell it not to turn of to save power, Image (http://www.livy.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/network.jpg)
if you have this option. im on a latop so might only be to do with that?

edit: typo
