How to make a Crap Hollywood Movie

Need your opinions on how to make a Hollywood movie Crap

There are many possibilities yet
presently i can think of only one thing

1. It ends in a factory/industrial location
2. It has a Happy Ending + national romantic music
3. One of the actors is not an actor but another american icon - Britney?
4. ?
5. ?
6. ?
etc

your proposals?

If the hollywood movie doesn't have a 'happy ending', US people hate it when a movie doesnt have a 'happy ending'

If the movie have a conventional 'happy ending' :P

Cast a famous mainstream pop icon/Beckham (read an article somewhere where he considers quitting football and start acting, lmao) for the main lead...

Hero (heroin) is an angst-filled emo kid, with no sex life. Until the end of the movie, of course ;)

Now that is bullshit:

The last samurai
Magnolia
Minority report
Collateral
Eyes Wide shut
Interview with the vampire
The Firm
The color of money

All good/great films (Eyes wide shut beeing one of my favorite Kubrick films) :D

As for Ben affleck? Well Good will hunting was sort of entertaining, but you are mostly right.

Bombard the viewer with product placement.

I, Robot was very guilty of this.

Also, make a film of a much loved comic book hero but just totally change everything about what made the comic good.

Batman is very guilty of this, and let us not forget the atrocity that was The Punisher.

A movie based on a book or series of books tends to fail more often than succeed.

Stephen King.

I like some of the books, movies suck more or less.

Well you picked two of the poorest films on that list IMO, with magnolia and eyes wide shut beeing the best... but it's all subjective.

Still a bullshit pick of the lot though ;)

I haven't seen or read that one; I must get into a bookstore more often.
The Green Mile & Misery were great - and neither in the 'horror' genre at all - but he's right, almost every other SK adaptation sucks the big one.

Easy one this....

4. Cast Steven Seagal as main hero
5. Rip off and update old plot heavily disguised by SFX and previously respected actors (Star Trek Nemesis)
6. Resurrect yet another unheard of Marvel Superhero, perhaps "Thunderbuttocks" or "Egg Foo-Yung Boy".

Pah!

:P
