Ok, I have used this for around 2 years or so, and it has always had tons of sources and been fast. Latley, however, it is always going slow and not many sources AT ALL and always takes a while to connect...any ideas?

Try LimeWire Pro. Get it at Nsane Productions (http://nsane.nm.ru/index.htm).

ya limewire has same selection and same great "non-fake files-ness" as winMX with a nice interface. :)

i made the switch a couple days ago.

The thing I REALLY like about winmx, is that they have a TON of 192bitrate files, unlike kazaa. Does limewire also have this?

I also use WinMX without any of the problems you describe. Have you checked your settings? Try the Auto-detect feature once more. Could be your modem is having difficulty. I know mine is but until it gets a new firmware revision, I'm unable to use eMule.

Are you using the latest version? WinMX is working great for me.

Yes, latest version which doesnt seem to be doing good for me. I do have a fixed IP and forwarded ports for bitornet, but I dont think that would affect it.

Rossco,

You say Limewire has the same slection as WinmX !

Does this mean they both access the same network of files ?

If so that would be great. I see Limewire is being downlaoded a lot lately.

PS Just like Ares and Filecroc access the same network.

No, Limewire and WinMX run on two different networks. But they both have relativly the same type of files, only Limewire has more/better music.

I want to kill you all. Just pick a frigging p2p client, Kazaa Lite, Ares, WinMX, LimeWire. Just download random ones, search for the files you want, and see if they work for you. Stop saying "butt ommgg betturrr musiks!!"
