I have downlaoded some vcd's which when run through GSpot say they are all ok and vcd compliant already but when i go to burn them in Nero it tells me they aren't compliant and it will need to re-encode them.

Whats up?

If you burn them as 'data' you don't need to re-encode them.

Can I burn them just as data when they are mpgs already?

I think I might have clicked what it was, I think StreetSmart just sux0rs as when I used the burning rom it told me they were wrong but gace me an option to turn off the standard compliance and then it burnt it and it played back on my machine so I am hoping thats it

That happens with almost everything I encode with WinAVI and burn with Nero so you're right, Nero just sucks like that sometimes.

I burn my VCD's using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7...It converts them, then crams them in a image then burns them to the CD.

Also it allows you to create a menu, chaptering, etc...

Then they play in my DVD player. :)

(I've done .avi, .mov, .mpeg, & .wmv I think it was)
