Ummm NTSC was developed first. 2 of the biggest electronic/technologic contries use it (US and Japan). Some 40-50 use NTSC also.

but PAL is better quality i wish Japan and US would go PAL then we can fking order games from over seas.

It's not to hard to solder I've only soldered twice once on the ps and once on the ps2. And both mod chips worked fine. ps was easy and that was the first time i even picked up a soldering iron and the ps2 well it can be a bitch cause of all the wires but not to hard as long as u take ur time it sould work right... But if u don't feel u can just pick up the iron and start soldering get a crappy mother board or something simular and practice a lil
