If nothing else. Yarafat held the Palestinian people together. If he said 'Stop', they stopped. Is there anyone left who can do that? Hopefully his departure will not exasperate the situation. He deserves the respect that other leaders get on their demise.:(

Arafat was a "money where your mouth is" kind of guy... I can respect that. He could have made a nice living for himself in the west, but instead chose to stay in Palestine and fight for his beliefs.

Well saddned by his passing , he did have 20 plus? years to work on a compromise . Now thats sad ! :(

he was one of the greatest leaders on earth, he kept the Palestinians under control (exceptions made for the 2 Intifada's, which btw i support so bite me.). Nobel Peace Prize or not, he truly did his job, even thought stubborn, he kept the peace for as long as he could. What shall happen to the children of Palestine now? May god help them.
