Yeah, well the problem is that I can only run the game at 640 x 480 resolution, and at only half detail quality. Everything is pixelated and looks like crap. Well when i turn up the resolution, or the detail up any higher, everything goes black, but the sound, brake lights, map, and speedometer still show, just no environment or car. You are probably wondering "Well this nooberz doesnt know what graphics card he has." Well I do, and it is a RADEON x300 SE, that is PCI Express, with 128 mb of video memory. All other games such as Far Cry, Doom, Counter Strike-Source I run at high details, or whatever. And I already got Direct X 9.0c. So if anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

Edit: I should also be able to run the game at 1024 x 768.

You have to turn AA or AF off, can't remember which one. By he way my on board 32mb can play Doom perfec with everything set high, Doom III now thas a different sotry....

Oops yeah i meant torrentbits. Yeah but I need a crack, for the patch. I dont want to mount a big image.


I managed tdo get the game to play in 1024 by 768 and it looks alot better.

What is the AA of AF?

Does it really matter? You turn them off it'll work you turn them on it won't. They make edges to surfaces look smoother.

Because there is nothing that says "AA or AF". Okay Anti-Aliasing. Thank you for telling me what they stood for. What does AF stand for? Now im off to try.

AF stands for Anisotropic filtering, makes textures looks better in game.

why not just get the patch (and also the crack if ur game is ehem...downloaded)?
if that doesn't work, then turn those settings off

The patch makes you able to play online through Windows Xp SP2 bu copies cannot be played online and increases the curser speed. Hardly worth patching.

Alright well whatever. I turned everything up except for the aliasing. Aliasing seems to be a big problem for my graphics card. I've had to do this for alot of games.

New games proberly process the AA and AF in a different way so that your drivers arnt working right. Try updating drivers if possible.
