View Full Version : Threads that go over more than 1 page

Sometimes when a thread goes over more than 1 page, it's, errmm, not immediately obvious (usually first thing in the morning!), and I find myself replying to the post I think is at the bottom of the thread, only to find there's a whole other page (or more!) of posts I haven't read yet.. :(
Is there any way of making it more obvious that the bottom of a page is not necessarily the bottom of the thread, I keep missing the little "Next Page" boxes on the right, something in the middle would be not noticeable.. :huh:
Especially because of the QuickReply being there, I just assume I'm at the end.. :frusty:
Anyway, thanks.!.?

i hate having to scroll to the bottom of a thread to find the nextpage\previous page buttons...they should also be at the top like on invision. :)

I've done the same myself when replying to people's posts but as I have most people on block my posts seem disjointed anyway.

Ive done the same...
I've done it too.
Does anyone know if there's a similar trick to the one which makes the username smaller in firefox?
a[class="bigusername"] { font-weight:bold; font-size:1em !important; }

you can make the thread have more posts in one page, its somewhere in the user cp

Yep..in 'Edit Options' 'Edit Thread Options'...
i've done the same, but i think it would look a bit ugly in the middle. I think it would just be a minor html change to showthread.php to centre it, but i'm not sure if its worth it.

This be true. I have set mine to 20 which is just perfick.
I think ten is too small a number for the default setting, most boards have at least 20.
