Torrentbits is weak. You have to sign up to use their site. It wouldn't be that big of a problem if they accepted new members... but they don't. WTF?

:retardedness:

I had an account on torrentbits but it just got wiped, wasn't using it. been trying to get it back but...

Thing I don't get is why do they even have a limit? It's not like your downloading files directly off the site, so it can't be about bandwidth right? What's wrong with having unlimited users. you'd think that'd be what a website would be after.

I think it because of server costs. They now need to pay 210 euros/month!!
and more users means more leechers

Yeah, I guess the main thing is about leechers.
They tend to piss ppl off on any network.

But I dont have an account on Torrentbits, yet...

SuprNova Downtime?
sloncek @ 21-11-2004 00:11

SuprNova has not been accessable during last 24 hours. This is because of a server issue. We are working on the problem and are trying to fix it as fast as we can. That is why SuprNova is right now running on backup servers, meaning search is down and it might take a little longer for the site to load.

We are sorry for the trouble, but keep in mind that we are trying to fix the problem as fast as we can!
Yes, maybe now I will be able to use GoSuprnova to browse the files without going to the website. And if not that, I will at least be able to use the search ffeature on the page, and have it work.

actually, more users does mean more bandwith........ the site still holds the tracker (and connects with all the BT users), and all users visit the site, browse the forums, browse the torrents........

besides, keeping TB exclusive makes sure that most people on the site will seed after downloading...... open sites (like suprnova) ensure leeching happens alot...... and to keep the costs from rising to much, all these banners run through the entire site (ok,i have firefox+adblok, but still :P ), not forgetting that all that trafic has caught the RIAA/MPAA/whatevers attetion (though here in holland BREIN is still after kazaa users :P ) IMO torrentbits is a much better site than suprnova, faster downloads, the really new stuff, guarantied propper working files, and minimal leeching.....

back 2 topic: thnx 4 da link muchspl, though indeed it does seem 2 be working properly again

For some reason, GoSuprnova wont update, like it wont update PC Games, and PC Software, so all it ends up updating is Linux/Handheld stuff.

I've notice that myself...hasn't updated for about a day and half.

Suprnova will be down for the next few days. They're starting to become unrealible. Try http://www.torrentspy.com instead. It has more torrents and a much easier navigation system. I know people are used to going to the same old clunky and slow site but change is good.

It comes straight up, more or less. You're probably connecting to a dodgy server, keep hard refreshing (F5) because it's definitely not down.
