There's a lot of releases, and a bunch of fixes for the original Emporiro release. i got the emporiro PROPER release (1.5 gigs)
the NFO says:

All unnecessary files were removed, crack is already applied and should work fine now :)

i thought they removed nothing, just did a better job of winrar-ing it, instead of just having the game folders uncompressed?

it's the same as the PROPER, according to the NFO on nforce. The just used the same cracking system that emporio used, and took the retail cds. not very original

now you guys know how impatient i am ;) , i got it on the 17th (nov.), and when i first played it, i realized what an idiot i'd been if i didn't spend the money on it, it's quality work, and i forgot how freakin addicting CS was. so, call me an idiot, i'm happy with what i got :1eye:

I am very happy that I got HL2 legit. I wouldn't want anything to ruin this game. It's more then a game, it's an experience, it really is. There's adrenaline rushes, times when you're freaked out and scared, times when you're excited and anticipating, and overall the story is great. I can't say enough about the game play either. This is one of the better done FPS I have played in a long time.

I would encourage everyone to go out and buy this one, especially with everything they went through just to get it out after their source code was stolen.

another problem. i noticed gam3guy (hardcoregamer) has the same issue. i'm at the beginning of Black Mesa East, and i follow the woman to the elevator, but she just stands there. wtf? :huh: help? please? i've tried shooting her, pressing buttons, pushing her, even threw a few nades at her. nothing happens. wat's weird is in the console, no errors show up, and her eyes follow me when i walk past. wtf???

this is the case of stupid archiving program.
every archiver i know tends to give the same icon to rar, r00 and r01. As a result, everyone thinks that the first file at the top is rar when in reality that file is actually r00.

if ur unsure which is which, unhide their file extensions.

i just started from the last save point, and she hopped in the elevator...you might have to do that a couple times for it to work, but it only took me a second try.

i think i read from some other forum where someone recommends this as a solution if u are stuck in that elevator. so, u guys should try this.
