Yeah, there's an Update for folks who's stuck on Internet Explorer.

Clicky clicky (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d788c59e-b116-4d38-b00c-ff1d529106c8&DisplayLang=en)

Or, go to Windows Update (http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/)

Anyways, keep the Windows and it components updated.

Oh, forgot this from the microsoft.com:

Overview
When you open the Manage Add-ons dialog box on the Tools menu in Microsoft Internet Explorer, some installed add-ons may not be listed. Therefore, for example, you may not be able to select an add-on that you want to disable.

This issue occurs because, during the installation of certain add-ons, a flag is set in the registry that prevents the add-on from being managed through the Manage Add-ons dialog box.

I do, and have been since IE4. It works fine for me, and I don't get crap on this machine unless I let one of the kids loose in an admin account.

If Microsoft really wanted to do Internet Explorer users a favor, they make the option available for them to actually "uninstall/delete" those add-ons from that tools menu dialog box.

Hell- if I am getting a problem from anything conflicting with IE, I do not want it DISABLED... I want #@!$?ing GONE!

IE is so popular and widespread, thats why the most nasties is made towards it.

If firefox or other software gets to be as popular, we will see some nasties made for it too.

Pretty simple.

But, to surf about in the net these days with "default settings" on IE is a
bit silly.
Atleast, keeping the Windows and IE updated, the chances for nasties to
spread can be kept to minimal.

I do update the suff even if I dont use the IE that much.
And the thruth is, a lot of ppl uses IE.
