I was thinking about converting all my MP3 Music files to WMA Files so I could store more music on my P.C. and MP3 Player (also plays WMA files). But before I do this I was wondering if converting MP3 Files to WMA files would reduce the sound quality of my MP3 files?

hey wma aint that bad, if you compress them, like for using on an mp3 player, they are better quality than a compressed mp3

Can you say Digital Rights Management?
No matter what you say, I will platantly say WM sucks,
and will not touch it.
Plus, try to "share" and album full of wma files and you aint
gettin too many friends. It's a little "leet" thing to say but
in a long run, keeping hell'way from WM is agood thing.
Its Vicious Evil, the damn Windows Media and thats all I want to say about it.
What next? Lets turn all the files to Real Media?
Riiiight...

when saving space, I think 24kbit/s 22050Hz Mono MP3 sounds alot better then a 40kbit/s WMA

in my library, 99% of my mp3's are 192+ kbs thank you
EDIT: But you can fit about 3½ days worth of mp3's on one CD-R @ 24kbit/s

Yes you can, but its gonna suck.
:D
What with the Hard-disk-size/prize and lotsa ppl getting DSL,
I say the "saving space view" is a poor excuse these days.
Quality man, thats what counts.
:)
I got my stuff over 192k and over also, that's kinda the low-limit for me.
But of course I may have some files with crap quality,
but they will be changed if i find better and im definately
not sharing those.

If you decide to go ahead with this, be sure not to share those .wma's on slsk.
a lot of slsk users (myself included) don't take kindly to finding users spreading that crap.
