My friend has a laptop and she went to put her email addy in a box and her @ button don't work, she gets an " instead, I know this is to do with the keyboard being set to American but I can't remember how to do it, this is on xp btw.
Anyone know?

Funny thing is she phoned Comet and they wanted 2 weeks to fix it

It's not to do with her keyboard being American but tell her to hit the shift and 2 keys together - where the (") is located.

Cant help you.

My laptop came from off the back of a lorry.
I think it literally fell off.
Only use it to store music as a back up, or watch DVD' in bed.

Post modern means returning to older ways, as a reaction against the modern. Or adopting modern styles and taking them to extreme.

How does that relate to your point d1ckh34d. How is this a post modern world, that is just bunkum.

shut up

a.Which country did she buy it?
b.what language do they speak in that country?
c.what is the most popular food in that country?
set the keyboard to that language

another option is to use a keytweaker - where you simply move your keys around
but
plan a is simpler

Oooer missus, a nice stiff one.

Maybe you should go for a wee holiday. The pilot might let you into his cockpit.Oh dear, I don't think so. The last time The good lady and I went on a wee holiday she had to buy a whole new set of towels. Completely ruined they were

Go to control panel> Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options> Change the formats of numbers, dates and times> Languages> Text services and input languages - Details > then select english united kingdom as the deafault input language.

I think a reastart ,may be required for it to take affect.

Get some sticky paper and stick it over half the key, then write on what it actually does.

Can't understand why people have to get so technical.
