Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if you guys could recommend me some good DVD burners. It does not have to burn CD-Rs because I already have one. What buffer size do u suggest?

I've got the SONY DVD RW DRU 510-A (http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/sony510-dual/).(Whole lot of info :D )

I'm satisfied whit what it does.

16x Dual layer, dvd+-R, also with the fireware hack, you can make it burn a 4x much faster, not exactly the full 16x, but I did do a 4.5 g dvd rated at 4x in 7 mins, usually that's about 15 min.

This one is compatible with the DVD-RAM format as well.

And btw they all burn CD-Rs.

Most newer models can burn dual layer now. It's not a necessity because the dual layer blank media is still very expensive compared to the single layer media.

Dual layer can store up to 8.5 GB.
Single layer, 4.7 GB.

There is also some good compression software that will let you fit a full movie DVD onto the 4.7 media.

pioneer 108 or nec 3500 or a LiteOn SOHW-1653S if you like messin with fw liteon is well supported...
