Have you tried changing resolutions and refresh rates? Clocker says that fixes just about all computer problems.

Try unpluging it, turn it on and off while unpluged and reconnect then power up. Sometimes this resets it.

Are you still giving this monitor the same 4 nukes out of 5 as in your review?

If a monitor that dies before it's out of warrantee is "pretty good", how would you define a "very good" screen...one that's dead out of the box?

lol shut up...i mean up untill NOW it has been good...very clear picture...I wasnt basing it on longevity. I mean, if it goes out I get another one...maybe I could get my money back and go for the syncmaster for a change...but I doubt they will give me money.

You have webcam right? Try to take a picture with it...

It's possible that there's actual ants on the screen too.

Mine does that at 12.30 am every morning, I believe it is some sort of interference on the mains supply.

It used to do it on my 17" monitor until I raised the refresh rate to 85Hz. Now I've got a 19" monitor I can't seem to get rid of the problem. I'm just glad it only happens during the night.

well, I dont have my monitor at 1024X768, its at 1152X864, so I can only have the refresh rate at 75hz. Its not doing it right now...but it will pick up in a lil im sure lol

I have a little fan (not a case fan, just a normal fan.) that does that when I put it near the monitor. Maybe another electric device near your monitor is doing it?
